It has been a minute since I dedicated a proper post to my women's community group - Sacred Space Circles.
With so much going on this year I wanted to update you on what we have been doing!
As many of you know, Sacred Space Circles is The Light Journey's community give-back program and women's support initiative. After feeling guided to facilitate a space for like-minded babes to come together and build connection, I was encouraged and supported by my friend Sydney Jones to create this group. We felt it was evident that there was a need in our community for women to come together and connect with and support each other. After some planning and a few brainstorming sessions, Sacred Space Circles was born in April 2019.
In April 2020, we celebrated our one year anniversary and as we continue to grow it is important for us to support our community by giving back. To date we have been donating a portion of our event proceeds to the Women In Need Society and have donated over $200 and countless household and clothing items. We will continue to support their initiative but in order to support women's health a bit more directly and to help us cover the costs of hosting our community events; such as resources, materials and rental fees for the new venue, to name just a few- Sydney and I came up with the idea of creating a unique self care product through The Light Journeys handmade Reiki Infused Wellness line. Our goal is that the proceeds from the sale of this product directly benefits and supports Sacred Space Circles community. This will help us to cover event costs, venue fees, workshop materials, guest speakers and more!
We put out a couple of surveys over the spring and summer months and received feedback from the community. Your suggestions helped us to determine that a Sacred Space Circles Travel kit would be the most beneficial in supporting your mental health and spiritual wellness no matter where you go! 💗 We are super excited about this project and will continue to provide updates through the website and on social media.,
